Helping Hands Ministry
Child-Protection Policy
Summer 2008
Helping Hands Ministry wants to create a safe
environment for all campers, so adult volunteers
who are interacting directly with youth on worksites,
in dormitories or during evening activities are required
to have background checks performed.
Helping Hands Ministry requires 2 background
checks to be done for each adult volunteer:
1. Criminal History Background Check
2. Sex Offender Background Check
Each church or individual may have these background
checks done through an agency they choose that
is reliable and trustworthy.
A copy of these background checks must be presented
upon arrival at camp. A new background check must be
done every 3 years. If these background checks have been done for other agencies in the past 3 years,
a copy of those will suffice.
To conduct these background checks, we recommend
following the link below. Print the form with
instructions, make sure to have it notarized and
allow 15 days to complete the check.
